Whew… site finished

01-Mar-06

Oh man… we got it done. Our 2006 AIR Interactive site is completed and is now in the hands of the judges. All sites are due by 5 today and I just got a call from one of the Knowbility folk making sure we had ours in. Surely nobody’s late.

Phun with Photoshop

27-Feb-06

Making fake tilt shift photos with Photoshop. It really works! Here’s a photo of Charing Cross Station taken at sunset from the London Eye:

Here is the same photo after it’s run through the tilt-shift tricks:

Team WebMopac is back. Three of us are participating from last year with one new member, Bianca Taulman from girlstart.org. There are several “pro” teams in this year, and we’re not sure what to think of that. GSDM, Milkshake, Go9 Media, all pro ad/design shops. It’d be sweet to beat them… hehe.

Team WebMopac has FINISHED!

01-Mar-05

Just wanted to let you know that Team WebMopac has finished the new Austin Symphonic Band site for the SXSW AIR Competition. We’ve had a good month working together, and I have to say that we put out the most accessible site we could put together. It helped that we are all extremely competitive on our own (there was some major ass-kickin’ happening here).

Jeff Bernier - Freakin’ AWESOME coder extraodinaire… Handles being the critical path extremely well (thanks Jeff for doing that…). He had the brunt of the work fall on his shoulders.

Pat Ramsey - Quite possibly the most knowledgeable I’ve ever seen when it comes to CSS.

Marla Erwin - As always, a brilliant graphic designer (the best I’ve ever known actually) and an awesome HTML coder. It’s ALWAYS a pleasure working with you my friend.

Lindsey Allen - Incredible tester, awesome CSS guru, knows how to use every HTML/XHTML/CSS/younameit validation tool out there.

Thanks again you guys for being such a great team. I’m looking forward to 2006 already. ;)

New digs

18-Feb-05

We relocated the site today, from its testbed to our domain. And I think we’ve got most of the pieces in place.

Welcome to the home of Team Webmopac. We are a set of web designers, coders, and vagabonds competing in the Accessibility Internet Rally (AIR)-Austin. We’re re-designing the site for the Austin Symphonic Band. Powered by Pluckers’ wings and Mexican Martinis, we can’t fail!
